Youlgrave Village Show 2025 - report
Last year was such a successful event. We raised a great deal of money which went to local school and community causes. And everyone enjoyed themselves!
That’s a hard act to follow. This year we were concerned that with our weather variances, we might not have the same amount of produce. O ye of little faith! Youlgrave surpassed itself. There were more entries than last year, and the incredible quality was both sustained and surpassed. The village certainly made the judges job harder in every category. Once again Dawn’s great cakes were a big success with both locals and visitors. The café was full of chatter and congratulations. The raffle was well supported with some great prizes. And, as always, our crowning glory was Dougie, who ran the auction in his inimitable way.
Many of the vegetables and produce went to the Church Ale festival the next day. It was a great way to continue the celebration of produce and people. We hope to extend this collaboration next year.
Many thanks to the many residents of our incredible village who supported the event with their entries, their cake eating, their raffle tickets and their support.
It would not have happened without the numerous volunteers who helped make the event happen and go smoothly. If you would like to get involved next year, please get in touch at youlgraveshow@outlook.com. Here’s to next year, whatever the weather brings!
